Study with the van Riper Research Group

I am always happy to hear from people who would like to gain experience working with our Research Group. I provide a range of opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers interested in the interface between people and nature, particularly within the disciplines of conservation psychology and sustainability science. Undergraduate students are also instrumental in our research process and should feel free to contact me.

We are currently hiring 1-2 field technicians to assist with a project in summer 2025 focused on understanding recreational use in Chicago waterways. Here is a flyer to learn more about the position. The review of applications will start in April 2025.
